Centiglobe is a Swedish fintech company transforming how value moves across borders. Our mission is to help financial institutions compete globally by modernizing their cross-border payment infrastructure, with real-time payments, smarter liquidity, and trusted connections.
Centiglobe Connect, our platfom, is a permissioned DLT-based network that enables instant, traceable, and cost-efficient two-way global payments, without intermediaries or scattered pre-funding.
Centiglobe Connect is specifically designed for banks, PSPs, and financial institutions that need to scale globally, reduce capital costs, and unlock new revenue streams. With one API, members access a trusted peer-to-peer network and marketplace, gaining direct entry to new payment corridors and services.
The result is increased revenues, lower risk and lower cost with a solution operating with full regulatory alignment.
The solution is based on tokenized bank deposits, held with licensed third-party custodians and mirrored on our network. Centiglobe never holds funds and is purpose-built to meet the demands of modern compliance, governance, and easy integration.
From The Academy to a Global Reality.
Centiglobe was founded in Stockholm in 2019, rooted in a research project led by our founder Dr. Henrik Gradin. Initially skeptical of blockchain, he set out to solve the technology’s limitations, speed, scalability, energy use, and volatility. Together with teams from Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and the Stockholm School of Economics, Henrik developed the early prototype of what would become Centiglobe Connect.

With nearly 30 years in global B2B sales, Mikael is known for driving growth and closing high-value deals across Europe and Africa. At Centiglobe, he leads core client relationships and commercial partnerships, ensuring institutions turn local access and new corridors into real business.

Henrik Gradin, PhD
PhD engineer, serial founder, and infrastructure visionary. With seven startups (two IPOs, one exit), Henrik combines technical depth with business execution. As founder, Henrik drives the product vision and long-term innovation, shaping a platform built to transform institutional payments and liquidity management. His vision is to turn advanced technology into practical solutions that redefine how institutions move money globally.
