Centiglobe and SweFintech Host Christmas Fintech Event

To close out the fintech year, Centiglobe had the pleasure of co-hosting a Christmas networking event together with SweFintech. The event brought together professionals from across the Nordic fintech ecosystem for an evening of insights, discussion, and connection – all centered on how payments are evolving.

With stablecoins, tokenized payments, and new regulatory frameworks gaining momentum, the timing could not have been better. The conversations reflected both the pace of innovation and the growing need for clarity as the industry moves into its next phase.

Key Themes: Stablecoins, Tokenization, and Regulation

The evening focused on several topics that are increasingly shaping the global payments landscape:

  • The role of stablecoins in cross-border payments and financial infrastructure

  • How tokenized payments could impact efficiency, transparency, and settlement

  • The influence of new regulations such as MiCA and the GENIUS Act on innovation and adoption

Together, these themes set the stage for thoughtful perspectives from speakers representing different parts of the ecosystem.

Perspectives from Industry Leaders

The program featured a range of voices, each contributing a distinct viewpoint:

  • Klas Eklund, Dahlgren Capital, shared a macroeconomic perspective on stablecoins, highlighting their potential impact on geopolitics, monetary policy, and global financial dynamics.

  • Petter Sandgren, CEO Centiglobe, and Sahand Javidi, SEB, explored how the payments market is changing, discussing both opportunities and challenges as new technologies are introduced.

  • Sahand Javidi, SEB, also provided insights into SEB’s stablecoin initiatives, including possible use cases and future applications within the banking sector.

  • Mathilde Hildenfeldt, CEO of NOBELUX, offered reflections from Money20/20, connecting global fintech trends with developments in the Nordic market.

Networking and Continued Conversations

Following the talks, discussions continued during the networking session. The level of engagement highlighted the strong interest in where payments infrastructure is heading – particularly around regulation, scalability, and real-world implementation of blockchain-based solutions.

Looking Ahead

We would like to thank SweFintech, all speakers, and everyone who joined us and contributed to a warm, open, and insightful evening. Bringing the fintech community together to share perspectives and learn from one another remains central to how progress is made.

We look forward to more conversations, collaborations, and events in 2026.
